When we test guns, not only the bullets explode.

The year was 2007 and Testfakta put a couple of hunting rifles to the test before moose hunting season. Sweden's about 300 000 hunters were expected to shoot about 75 000 moose that season.

 

Testfakta examined the quality of eight of the most common rifles. The test was conducted at The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), a government agency predominantly in charge of providing the Swedish Army with weapons and other material. The practical tests were done during three days at FMV*s testing facility outside the city of Karlsborg. The hunting weapons were tested in four areas: precision at normal as well as cold temperature, corrosion, extraction- and explosion testing.
